💡 Don’t Let Insurance Leave You Hanging

Roof Damage? We’ll Help You Handle the Insurance Headaches.

At Kodiak Roofing & Construction, we’re more than just your local roofer—we’re your advocate when it matters most. After a storm, your roof might have real damage that isn’t always visible from the ground. Unfortunately, many homeowners are left empty-handed when insurance companies deny valid claims due to technicalities or missed deadlines.

Let us guide you through the process so you don’t get stuck paying out of pocket for storm damage your policy should cover.

Always schedule your roof inspection before filing a claim. Why? You may only get one shot with your carrier—if you file too early without proof, you could get denied and flagged as having a “zero payout claim.”

Understanding Industry Standards:Don’t Be Fooled

Many homeowners are shocked to hear their claim was denied because it didn’t meet a specific number of hail strikes.

The industry standard is 8–10 hail hits within a 10’x10’ (100 square feet) area, per slope (face) of the roof to warrant replacement.
But some carriers,  require 14 or more hits per test square. :(

That's why having Kodiak Roofing at the adjuster meeting matters—we know what to look for, how to document it, and how to speak adjuster language.

❌ What to Do If Your Claim Is Denied Denied? Don’t panic. Here’s what to do next: Request a second inspection. Most policies allow a reinspection by a different adjuster. Ask for clarification in writing on why the claim was denied. Get a second opinion from another roofing contractor—sometimes it’s worth having two professional reports. File a complaint with the Oklahoma Insurance Department if you believe your claim was unfairly denied or mishandled. 📌 Helpful Link: 👉 File a Complaint – Oklahoma Insurance Department 👉 NAIC Consumer Alert: Understanding Hail Damage Claims
